To mark the 1st anniversary of the Xbox 360, user will soon be able to download episodes from TV shows like South Park, Pimp My Ride and CSI via the Xbox live service. A movie rental service is also on the cards.
Most of the shows will be in the standard format, but some are scheduled for the High Definition treatment.
Microsoft have made arrangements with big names such as CBS, Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures and MTV Networks to provide content. They hope to have over 1000 hours of video available by the end of 2006.
No details on the cost of this service have been released yet, but as the launch date is set for November the 22nd, we hope to update you on pricing soon.
