Sony are trailing the use of their PSP as a learning aid at Holyhead school in Birmingham.
Holyhead will be using the handheld console in French, history and geography lessons after the easter break until the end of this year and should the pilot be a success Sony may extend it to other schools.
The BBC report "Teachers at the school have been taught how to use the machines over the past two months" and "Head teacher Martin Bayliss said simulations were being carried out in key subjects, with teachers learning how to create podcasts, download pictures and videos, upload students' work and help students with particular learning needs."
