It is safe to say most people are aware of the ebay web site and thousands of people who use the auction service are satisfied with the experience. However BBCs Watchdog have investigated eBay due to claims some users have been selling counterfeit goods.
Watchdog purchased 5 items from 4 different sellers who ebay label as PowerSellers, "pillars of the eBay community" and all 5 items were fake.
eBay use a feedback system to help stop this type of sale, but Watchdogs investigation shows this can be easily misused.
