On Thursday 9th November the first ever Guinness World of Record will be set for the Bedlam Cube in Hamleys of London.
The Bedlam Cube
is a 13 piece, 3-dimensional puzzle which you tip out of its box and then put it back in. This can be completed in over 19,000 ways, but believe me its not as easy
as it sounds.
Over 100,000 puzzles have been sold since its release, but it is reported that less than 500 people have completed it.
During the world record attempt, Hamleys are halving the price of the solution book.
Danny Bamping, the face of the bedlam cube entered BBC2's Dragons Den in 2005 and brokered a deal for £100,000 for 30% of his company. After a while Danny declined the deal and got a bank loan for his venture. Since then the range has increase and now includes a mini cube, wooden cube, multi-coloured cube, and Egglam. Joining the line up soon is the Bedlam Revolution. |
