Around 2 years ago the Art Lebedev Studio came up with an idea for a new keyboard. They decided to make each one of the keys a mini OLED screen, just like the ones on your MP3 player. This would allow you to put any image you wanted on any key.
As with all good inventions it was a little before its time, 2 years on and technology has finally caught up. On the 20th of May, 2007 at 3pm Moscow time Art Lebedev will release their latest specification for the keyboard and at the same time start taking pre-orders.
Now before you go rushing off cheque book in hand, the reported initial asking price will be around $1500, which is about £760. We are sure the price will come down a little once it goes into mass production, but for now, if you want this very special keyboard, you will pay the very special price.
