Asus are renowned for their high quality notebooks, so it comes as no surprise to see they are also leading theAsus W5Fe field with new innovations too.

The ASUS W5Fe is the world's first notebook to showcase Microsoft's Windows Vista SideShow. SideShow is an independent operating system which can be switched on without booting up your full system. Using embedded flash memory, users can save text, images and audio to SideShow, to view later. It is also possible to synchronise emails, calendar and meeting appointments when you have the main system powered to ensure you SideShow data is always up to date.

The W5Fe's auxiliary display comes in very handy when, you need to take a quick look at the meeting agenda in a crowded place. On the entertainment front, the outer display can be used to view photos, play music and games such as Solitaire. In addition, SideShow can even act as the mobile navigation device and guide the way, displaying a map.
